Drawing in Spain

While I was away in Spain on a drawing course, with Martyn Blundell, I took lots of photographs. I'm really pleased with some of my photos and I've made this film of my favourites so far.

This collection is primarly from one evening spent down in a riverbed at the base of a village called Cutar. The photos are of people that we're taking part in a festival called, 'Romeria de San Roque'. It's an annual festival in which the villagers take the figurine of Saint Roque, the patron saint of Cutar, from the church and transport it down to the river bed and have a small gathering of the local villages. Each village has it's own version of this festival which take place at various times during the year. I feel really lucky to have been part of such an exclusive and intimate event.

Here is another video that I finished today, with more photos from the beautiful Cutar. These are from a different day, but they have a very similar atmosphere for me.
